What does high resolution mean

High resolution means that there is more detail in an image. A high resolution image is determined by the amount of DPI (dots per inch). The more DPI, the higher the resolution. For printing purposes, we need a minimum of 300 DPI.

We need high resolution images for printing. If the image is not supplied in a high resolution format, it will appear to be fuzzy & blurry. Most images found on the internet are low resolution and are not suitable for printing purposes. If an image is of a low resolution, you can’t change it into a high resolution – not even with the help of Photoshop!
